2012 Presidential Elections
The entire matter of the 2012 Presidential elections can be boiled down to one question:
Do you support the rule of law as defined in the US Constitution or do you NOT? That question is at the foundation of virtually every problem from which we suffer.
For the past 100 years, neither the Republican or Democrat Parties have followed the rule of law as it is prescribed in the US Constitution. Each party has distorted, twisted and even outright ignored the Constitution that they so earnestly pledge to obey and protect.
Now we find ourselves in the predictable outcome of always picking the LESSER OF TWO EVILS and ignoring the principles of LAW.
The sole purpose of the Federal government is defined in our Declaration of Indpendence and their powers are defined in our Constitution (Article I, Section 8). The powers that are allocated to the Federal Government are clearly defined in that clause.
Our government was created to protect the lives, the liberties and the properties of individuals. Therefore, no government can lawfully or morally do anything to an individual that we as individuals can not do to each other.
Virtually every problem we experience today is a result of WE THE PEOPLE, making compromises to our Constitutional rights.
Social Security is unconstitutional, and it will fail.
Medicare is unconstitutional and it will fail.
The war in Iraq was unconstitutional, and it failed. It was an UNDECLARED war that did not meet the standards of the Just War Doctrine.
The monetary policy of the Federal Reserve is unconstitutional and it will fail.
The war on drugs is DEFINITELY unconstitutional and has failed Miserably.
The Department of Energy was created to lower oil prices.
The Department of Education was created to raise test scores
The PATRIOT ACT was written with a sunset that never happend to “KEEP US SAFE”…..Yet, the TSA has not caught a single terrorist in 11 years. Thousands of American citizens have been arrested or detained.
HOW DID THINGS GET SO FAR OFF COURSE.
Things got off course by the American people saying to themselves, “that sounds reasonable.” The are only two questions that we need to ask about ANY form of legislation or spending are:
1. DOES IT MEET THE STANDARDS SET FORTH IN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE?
2. IS IT PERMITTED BY OUR CONSTITUTION?
The Constitution is written in very plain language and it is easy to read and understand. Knowing that the Constitution had imperfections and that the needs of the country may change, the founding fathers created an amendment process for our rule of law. In order to amend the Constitution, there must be consent among 2/3rds of the house and 3/4ths of the states.
The Supreme court was designed to be a body that would ENFORCE the laws in the Constitution. It is not a body that was designed to CREATE or AUTHORIZE laws such as the Social Security Act, Medicare or the Federal Reserve Act. These matters are clearly outside of the scope of the Constitution and should have been presented as Constitutional Amendments.
The amendment process allows for proper national debate, proper statewide debates and a proper process to ensure that we have what we are promised……a SUPER MAJORITY of citizens and states that agree on a new law. Our constitution does not allow for a democracy, where the majority can force the minority to suffer under their oppression.
The founding fathers were very concerned with what they called Democratic Tyranny. It can be argued that we currently suffer from many forms of democratic tyranny. The founders gave us a Republican form of government, whose operation is guided by the Rule of Law and not the whims of the majority.
100 years later, we are SO far off course that it will be quite painful to reverse. We have suffered under the Tyranny of the Majority of Democrats AND Republicans.
In the 2012 election it is imperative that we only vote for candidates who have READ the Constitution, UNDERSTAND the Constitution and who will promise to OBEY the Constitution. This means we MUST OBEY the Constitution, even when it is uncomfortable for us. This means we must consider the following:
Let people live their lives the way they see fit
Stop over regulating the country and allow the free market to set regulations
Adhere to the “Just War Doctrine” of the founding fathers
Only go to war when it has been properly declared by the Congress
Immediately phase out all unconstitutional aspects of our government
Restore our FOURTH Amendment rights immediately by putting an end to all illegal searches and seizures.
This is why I so ardently support Ron Paul………Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who offers us a pledge to obey and defend the Constitution.
